New York Time's Best-Sellers
11:28 AM EDT 9/20/04
Our library is interested in putting the New York Time's best seller on our website. We would like it to be dynamic and after seeing Phoenix Public Library's website, we saw that it can be done. I sent them and email about an hour ago, "We are interested in getting the New York Time's Best-seller's list to show up dynamically on our homepage. I see you have a very extensive application that seems to do this for you automatically. How would I go about doing this? Thanks!"

Anyone else have any ideas?

Good for you! Please let us know what you hear from Pheonix about how they did it.

I did some real quick snooping around the NY Times web site. It looks like you can RSS a Books channel, and sign up to get news headlines added to your site, but I didn't see anything about adding the best-seller lists on their site. It may be there - and might be worth spending a few more moments that I did. I wonder if I actually went through the headline process, you could get the best-seller lists??

Keep us posted on anything you find out.

NYTimes recently released into beta the Best Seller's API. It can be easily leveraged by an existing web site to automatically display best sellers on its pages. It is currently free of charge but requires registration.
