Los Angeles Latino Book and Family Fest
8:05 PM EDT 6/15/06
I would like to hear from other libraries in the Inland Empire interested in sharing costs and staffing to support a booth in the Book Village at the Los Angeles Latino Book and Family Fest at Pomona's Fairplex, October 14-15. Jim Sullivan, Exec Director of Latin Literacy Now, told me that libraries are eligible for the non-profit rate (see attached pdf file).

FYI, Latino Literacy Now has posted their 2006 International Latino Book Award Winners: http://www.lbff.us/sponsors/press-room/latinobook/index.htm

Thanks,
Maria

Maria,

Thanks for posting about the Latino Book Fest this fall! I am going to add a link to your post to several of the other topics that were started at CA workshops in your area to try to help get the word out.

I have to admit I am not quite sure what constitutes the Inland Empire in CA. But I am attending a SLO workshop in Riverside next month and will pass your request along to participants there.
