I thought it was interesting to see the [url http://www.ala.org/ala/pressreleases2007/september2007/alafolusa07.htm]press release[/url] about the new partnership between FOLUSA (Friends of Libraries USA) and ALTA (Association of Library Trustees and Advocates). Will be interesting to see how it impacts the efforts of those who spend time in either of these spheres.

Sorry I'm a little late on this post. Wisconsin Library Association went through a process over the last two years that has morphed the Wisconsin Library Trustee Association division of WLA into the Wisconsin Library Trustees and Friends:

and is in the process of folding in what formerly was a separate (non-WLA) organization FOWL (Friends of Wisconsin Libraries) to bring together under one aegis advocates of all types.

I am glad to find this discussion list. For the Georgia trustee manual, see http://www.georgialibraries.org/lib/publications/trusteemanual/ I would be happy to have it linked from the resources section--who would I contact, I wonder? Lyn Hopper
