Technology in Children's Services

Good morning all,
I work at the Whatcom Community College Library in Bellingham, WA and am getting my MLIS online through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
This semester I am writing a term paper on children's librarianship, and I have some burning questions.
For those of you who are currently involved in children's librarianship: What is the role of technology in your job and how do you see it changing in the future? How has it changed from the past? What are some differences between the role of technology in children's and adult services (i.e. when children come to a public library, do they interact with technology as much as an adult would need to, and if so are they better at it?)
Any thoughts are appreciated.
