It's interesting to learn the reasoning behind all of the things we do everyday in our libraries. I'm also looking forward to sharing real-life stories with the other librarians.

For starters, I'm interested in learning the ins and outs of the new web board!  (I wasn't hired for my technical expertise) I look most forward to what I can learn from the class. I might be the instructor, but I take away so much.

I really enjoyed the web board assignments in PLM1 as it gave me a chance to discuss libraries with my peers. I am looking forward to this part of PLM2 also. Joy Metzger

I am hoping to get lots of information on marketing the library. I really want to learn how to make my library an indispensable "nonessential" service. Especially in these lean budget times.

I am wondering what else I don't know about the Library. I learned so much in PLM 1 that I didn't think there was much else I needed to know. I am looking forward to the Web Junction message board postings (if I can learn the secret of getting there  .)

I have been struggling just trying to reply to this thread -but never say die, right?? I am hoping to continue to learn more things that will help me to feel more confident in my position. I am looking forward to the first session (on the internet), after a summer of teenage boys meeting me at the door in the morning and having to ask them to leave at the end of the day.

I am looking forward to learning how to get the community into the library. When new people move to town the first place they go, especially the children, is the library. It does help that there is no place else in town for them to go. What I would like is to learn how to interest some of the long time residents who never come in. Some of them have started coming in recently possibly due to my attendance at city council meetings and my writing newspaper articles about library activities but I want to get them all. Looking forward to Tuesday and meeting you all and seeing those I met in PLM 1. Patti

Ha! I finally got it to work! I'm most looking forward to learning even more stuff to make me a far more efficient and functional librarian, like who do I call to get the ball rolling on a computer updating grant?

Hey, I'd like to know about a computer update grant, too!!!
It took me three times to get this to work. I previewed my post before I hit save. It wouldn't save after that. Guess I can't preview my work.
